Seasonal Captains/Tour operators
Successful applicants must possess a Small Vessel Operator Proficiency certificate or grater and a valid Marine First Aid certificate.
Have a flair for fishing and meeting the public and a willingness to tell stories.
Excel in customer service and knowledge of fishing an asset.
Hours of work: three hours at a time 7 days a week, Days and times are negotiable.
Work starts half hour prior to boarding times, 10 am, 2 pm, and 6 pm.
Rate of pay $15-$25/hr.
Some of the duties include:
Interpretive stories (Training provided)
Inspect vessel prior to debarking. (Checklist provided)
Greeting clients as they board vessel
Collect boat passes and have waivers signed.
Provide/offer life vest to passengers
Worming hooks and taking fish off hooks, general fishing rod maintenance.
When you debark you then tell interpretive stories for about 20 minutes and there are a few more stories to tell further down river. (Training provided)
